68 442 Turn Signal Switch install issue

I’m installing my new turn signal switch in my 68 442 and as I’m mounting it I’m noticing that the holes for the hazard and signal handle are no longer lined up with the new switch where I’m having to mount it in place at. I’ve got two screws in on the switch and there isn’t any play for me to adjust. Any one run into this before? Sorry if it’s a stupid question but I’ve been messing with it for awhile and I’ve had no luck. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The bowl has to push down and turn left, to get handle hole to line up.
