67 442 Bright light issue

When I pull the headlight switch on the headlights come on and work properly. When I pull it to the first position on the headlight switch the parking lights come on and work properly. My issue is with the headlights on, if I press the floor bright switch the red bright indicator comes on in the instrument cluster but my headlights go off and no bright light lights either. When I tap the footswitch to make the brights go off the regular headlights come back on. I have put a new footswitch in and it do not resolve the issue. Any help in this matter on what to look for or anyone having this issue in the past please chime in.

Have you checked for voltage at the high beam sockets working your way back towards the foot switch? The 67 will have 2 dedicated high beam lamps (2 inners) and 2 dual filament hi/low beam lamps (outers).

It's POSSIBLE but not likely that all four high beam filaments are burned out. It's more likely that there is a problem somewhere in the green wire that feeds the filaments, most probably at the firewall connector or at the first bulb on the driver's side, where there is a splice to all the other bulbs. If the dash high beam indicator comes on, the dimmer switch is likely working properly.

Thanks Joe, as always you nail it. The issue was where all 3 green wires all tied together on the drivers side.
