65 442 One Brake Light Dead, No Dash Lights

Here are my next great adventures.

1) Got wiring soldered. All four running lights working. All four turn signal lights working with and without the running lights. Tested the brake lights, only the left one comes on.

2) No turn signal indicator lights in the dash. Don't even think there's dash lights working, but there's power leaving the fuse.

Now I have to figure out what I've done to the brake light circuit, and also see if I left a ground wire off the dash. I do see a ground wire about eighteen inches long fastened to the inside firewall, and just bare wire on the end. How many years do you think it will take me to remember where it goes?

I suppose I should be grateful for the two steps forward....I was having a fit because the heater fan isn't working on any speed. Went poking under the hood to see if I'd knocked the fan motor wire off, and realized it's not even there. Guess it was a previous car. Now I have to hunt through old wiring harnesses to find a fan motor wire, and ask the Great Kreskin where it goes !
I really shouldn't work on several cars at the same time. It's really causing me grief.

The fun will start if I get rid of this car and try to find another one to use up all the spare parts I've got kicking around now.

By then, I should know how they go together !!

Dave, did you ever figure out why your left brake light wasn't working? I've got a similar issue. My tail lights work, but when I depress the brake, only the left one lights up. 1964 Oldsmobile Jetstar 1.

Sadly Dave passed away.
