1975 cutlass supreme cruise control

I have a 1975 Hurst Olds with the 455 cu 7.5L engine. It has cruise control but it does not work. After investigation I have a connector under the dash which appears to be part of the wiring for it but is not connected to anything, it has 2 pink and one black wire. The cruise control switch is a single button on the turn signal lever. Would anyone have a wiring diagram that would help solve this issue?

Thanks for any help
Tyler

Is there anything plugged into the master switch on the dash? Pink is usually an ignition hot power feed.

Cruise control diagnostics would be in the Accessories section of the service manual.

Thanks for replying Matt, that's the thing, there is no master switch on the dash, just one cruise button on the turn signal arm. Maybe if I jumper the two pink wires together, and if that works add a switch. I just don't want to cause an electrical fire lol.

I am currently in search of a service manual.

Is it a factory cruise setup??

I had a 75 cutlass years ago, I’m almost positive there was a cruise power switch on the left side of the dash.

You are correct, it was missing the dash switch for some reason (must be a replacement trim piece). After adding one it still didn't work, determined the brake switch contact was not closing to allow power through, after an adjustment cruise is now working.

Thanks for the help, did not know it required a switch.
