1969 Cutlass Console Shift Indicator Light

Can't figure out where the gray power wire for the console shift indicator light plugs in. There is no reference to the console wiring in my service manual.

See pic of connector that I need to plug in somewhere... thanks.

That just needs to plug into any of the grey instrument panel illumination feed wires behind the dash. The one to feed the clock is a good one. If you have a clock, just separate the connectors for the clock lamp feed, plug the male into the female side of that connector, plug the female onto the male side, and you're done. If you don't have a clock, the grey pigtail will still be sticking out of the main dash harness.

Figured it out. There is a gray wire coming directly from fuse box with a connector about 6" away from fuse box. The console connector goes between this connection and activates with the ignition switch.

Couldn't see the connector until I got my head buried down by the brake pedal.
