1967 oldsmobile

I have no power going to my electric windows. Where is the relay for the electric windows. I have heard it is behind the driver kick panel? The main pink wire from the fuse panel when hooked up makes a bonging sound when it is first hook up or when I turn the key swith. But no power to windows.. I have jumped a hot wire to the red/white wire and the front window work from the master switch.

Pass any info you can please.

If it is a Cutlass, the relay is behind the kick panel in the cavity inside the door jamb. It's a pain to get in there...two Philips screws.

relay on cutlass power window

Ok, Thanks for that info.. I have the kick panel loose, but to tight to get it out with the emergency brake in the way, any suggestion on that removal??

I will continue to try and remove the kickpanel, but may have to unbolt all of the backets for the emergency mech, unless there is a special way to remove the kickpanel because it is so deep/thick no room to bring it out.

Cool power windows

Can the relay for the power window be located behind the heat duct in the middle of the back dash area? That is where the sound seems to come from.

If you hear it clicking under the dash, follow the trail...maybe '67 has the relay under the dash...'68 has it in the door jamb cavity.

Dean, the ebrake mechanism on your car is bolted through the firewall, and there is a cable that runs up through the floor panel to the ebrake foot lever, plus a bolt or 2 that hold it to the dash frame. That's a lot of work just to remove.

Found relay above heater duct going to front window for electric window supply. Replaced and windows work. Any one have a delete plate for the a/c area?
