Does anyone know if the power antenna mast is supposed to go all the way down even with the rear fender or stick up about 4 inches? The antenna on my 98 sticks up about 4 inches. I don't want to take it apart if this is normal. I have tied to find pictures but no luck and no awnser in service manual

 

Power antennas on 65-66 cars do not go down flush with the body. The last 4 inches will stick up. That is normal.

 

Mine is that way also
