Engine and interior swap ???

I recently picked up a 65 jetstar 88. It came with a 403 but not hooked up. I seen somewhere on here that it will "bolt" right in with the exception of the water pump/radiator issue. My question is; do I get motor mounts for the engine or the car? Also, I'm not digging the bench seat with the column shifter. Are there any buckets with a floor shift that I can put in that isn't going to be a PITA. Thanks

The 65 Jetstar came with a 330 small block engine. Externally the 403 is exactly the same. You should have no issue with radiator or water pump since it is a 65. The engine mounts would be the same as original. You would need mounts for a 65 Jetstar 88. Bucket seats and floor shift were available (possibly standard) in 65 for the Jetstar I and Sfire and possibly optional the Jetstar88 as well.

Welcome. You have no choice, the motor mounts MUST match the frame. In the case of your 65, the motor mounts use threaded studs that bolt through the frame. You need Anchor P/N 2262/2263 motor mounts (they are different for RH/LH). RockAuto is probably the lowest cost source. These mounts will work with ANY 1964-1990 Olds V8, big block or small block.

Not sure what your question is. A TH350 is the same overall length as the original two speed Jetaway and is a common swap. It's a complete bolt-in except for the kickdown cable.
