Aha, well this parts i get today i payed 1338 Nok = 176 Dollar total ,this is includ a spraycan that is not on the pic.

gasket price for intake to head: 27 Dollar

oil pan gasket: 13 dollar

Valvecover gasket in rubber: 17 dollar

edelbrock gasket kit: 23 dollar

Anyway, have you search on ebay about gaskets? (if you are familiar to shop on that site)

Im not familiar with a 2005 malibu, but i try to search for it,is it right item maybe? 26 dollars, but shipping prices use to be expensive to send outside u.s somethimes, its best to search a little around and watch for prices.

That seems a bit more than what you would pay in the UK, in the USA of course it would be much cheaper.
But I think you got a fair deal, all things considered.

Yeah maybe it is...

Well today i got my new termostate, it is on 71c / 130f. I bought it for a 350 diesel from a website, so im not sure yet if it will fit the house and the intake, but it will be nice to use in the summer i guess..

Have found the 403ci heavy duty springs now i wounder to buy and install after bbo engine swap.. but im scared if the car will be to high in front.

I think my frontsprings is cutted or something, cant see it on the lower control arm, i guess old springs just dont fall toghether with them self after all these years? or maybe?

Same hight on both sides.

Im not sure if 1971 delta 88 455ci springs will fit either in standard thicknes.. but maybe if the controllarms is the same..i need to google the parts nr if so.

i will see when engine swap what the hight says.

The 403 is a small block engine, I don't know how springs for this model would sit with a big block.

The '71 Delta 88 is a different (and heavier) car altogether.

I see in the partno for frontsprings to a 71 delta 88 with 7.5l 455 is Moog 5032

and the 77 delta 88 with 403 have moog 5032 as an heavy duty replace ment spring,

so then it will go great

When you get the new dipstick installed and after a fresh oil and filter change, verify that the level markings are accurate.

Yes i will,i dont know how many liter capaticy it will have but i will see on the stick,i use to fill the Oil filter too with some Oil when Oil change,

The first i Will do is to pump the Oil around in the engine manual when the engine comes up on the enginestand, i Will check the clearens with the headers installed too, maybe i need to twist the oilstick a little for best fitment. On the 307 the stick goes behind the exhaust manifold.

The impala pipes fits great, hanging in strips right now, easyer to find the place to weld on holding points. It will be soooo nice to have the pipes over the rear axle...

Today i was curious to see how it looks under the intake, wow what a weight diffrent from Iron to aluminum intake, my plan was to install thw edelbrock intake but first i Will prepare it for new gaskets.. And i check the hight on the engine vs the 307, it looks that the 407 with edelbrock aluminum intake will fit great under the hood, so im Just install it right away...

Thanks,at least better than the old one, lol. it sit very tight too without much vibrations, so im happy with it untill now.

The muffler before rear axle is still a little low but its not a problem., will be better when it comes headers and straight pipes going back instead of all this curves out from the muffler pipes.

Have take of the Oil Pan now and old gaskets, i see it was used silicone on block to gasket, is it nessesary? I need to take new silicone in the rear part of the crank to get it sealed include new rubbergasket so maybe i will just lay a thin silicone all the way under the gasket too..

Well this engine have new bearings, pistons and rings, etc but i found like a microscopic metalsement in the oilpan, is it normal after new parts? Anyway i have cleaned it up now,anf have a magnetic sump plug to collect up metal particles in next use. I dont know what quality the pistons are either..

I google that the engine have the best 455 crank type in it too.. same casting nr and the N in front.

"397363 455 '68 - '70 Nodular iron. 'N' on front weight."
