That's a vague question!
We need;
Bolt Pattern - [I think yours is 5 X 5]
Offset of both - measure from back 'face' of wheel, to outer edge.
If you've disc brakes, might not work - older wheels didn't have the clearance!
I'd pull a front wheel and try it, before mounting tires.

Also as far as older cars I dont think that is a issue either the rims are coming off a 66 Galaxie we are talking about 15 inch rims here not 22's
