Can 1969 Delta 88 handle 15x8.5 inch rims up front

Hello,
New owner of 69 Delta Convertible here.
I would like to upgrade wheels and tires to fill out the huge wheelwells and am considering Torque Thrust Originals in which are sized at 15x8.5. For tires, I'm leaning towards p255/70r15 on all 4 corners because of the extra 1 inch height.
I believe that I should have ample clearance on the back but am concerned that I may run into clearance issues on the front. Unfortunately the TTO does not come in 8 inch width. The next size down is 7 inches which I may consider...All input/advice is appreciated.

My 67 D88 has 15x7 TTOs on the front with BFG 235/70-15s and 15x8.5 TTOs on the back with 275/60-15s. The 15x7s have about 0.25" negative offset; the 15x8.5s have about 1" negative offset. Stance and fitment look just about right in my opinion. Here's how the rears fit:

I don't have the fronts mounted in this photo, but they're on now and fit great.

Appreciate your response and sharing pictures. The rear wheel and tire combo does have the right look. Also prefer painted TTO's over polished as I live in the country with plenty of gravel roads.
Will try to post a picture of my car..

My,70 DELTA 88 is riding on 17x8 showwheels Streeters .The tires are 235/55/17 no rubbing problems.

Decent looking combo. Note that your 235/55-17 tires are nearly an inch smaller in diameter than the 235/70-15 and 275/60-15 combo that I have on mine and the same width as my front tires.
