Vin...Whats the color ?

Looked at the car today. It's painted ( I suspect a repaint) Sebring Yellow. Any clues ?

I suspect your original paint is 11W (Cameo White). I saw a car last year with the paint listed where the 11W is, but it was a "special paint' car and stamped that way on the tag. BTW, those phillips head cowl tag screws were introduced back in 1973.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking but why the word " top" before it ? Other info: it's a 1975 Delta Royale w/455 and fully optioned ( even has fuel economy guage/speed alarm and driver mirror thermometer...stuff you rarely see). I'd have bought it on the spot only for the question about the paint.

Does the car have a vinyl roof?

So the TOP 11R would be the white vert top color. On the older body tags the PNT part of the tag would have both the upper/lower in the same area. All the 75 appears to have done is separated them to each side of the tag. So 11W and TOP 11R (white vert top) still follows that sequence. Anyway, that's my theory.

If you really want to confirm the true color? Pull a kick panel or door panel and look for original color overspray.

Sorry, was a little dense earlier and what you point out is most certainly the case.... I was wishing it was different . Disappointed but it's a nice car nonetheless. It helps get the price down though !

I looked at the vin on car/title and confirmed the "T" code for 455 engine. Older gentleman who owns it has had it since 1997 and I believe unaware of repaint. It was stored in a facility with about 50 other cars that are bumper-to-bumber and door-to door. I couldn't fit to get into car ( I'm not fat) because it was so tight. Didn't start engine therefore and couldn't see trunk but was excited to see the full options....kinda bummed about not being true Sebring Yellow. I'm gonna call him and give him the bad news...which may turn out good. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, Allan.
PS. pic is Sebring Yellow but not car I viewed
