Turn signal lever on 83 delta 88
#2
Set the wiper switch in OFF and then pull it straight out of the column. It has a little tang at the end to drive the wiper switch and a groove and collar that retains it in the switch. Pull it out past that and it will come out. If it's a cruise control car, you need to hook a piece of wire into the small flat plug at the bottom so you can pull the CC wire back thru the column.
Just did this yesterday trying to replace one that the splines had worn out on and can't operate the wipers. And natcherly the Chinese aftermarket piece won't fit up in the wiper switch- too big.
And natcherly I'm in a bind at work and cannot get any time off to get one from either dealer or junkyard. So I stuck the metal rod without the plastic parts back in the column till I can get one, which will probably be about 2 months from now.
