You can do it without taking the pan off. There is a special tool you can buy on Ebay for about $15.00 to do it.

There are other ways to get it out without removing the pan. But the tool is the best way.

I have not idea of what the tool is like, so I do not know what searching about, some friend of mine have said that I can use a bolt the same measure of the O-ring seal to push it inside without remove the old one so the new seal comes in addition to the worn old one
???????? possible???

2 screws

I just did mine by drilling two very small holes in the metal rim of the seal and screwing two small screws to pull on. It was not easy to remove the seal and there's a good chance of scratching the housing. I would highly recommend the proper tool but since I'm El Cheapo I tooks my chances. So far so good.

I also bought the high performance rebuild kit on Epay for a very reasonable price. By the time you pay for each small seal and gasket you can purchase a whole kit. I also went with a new trans pan with a drain this time.

Thanks to Joe for this alternative method, he also cautioned on the housing damage possibility.

Here is the tool anyway - looks like I might need one for my TH350 since it fits it also...

And here is an explanation on how to use it - pretty slick!
