R&R Heater core
I need to replace the heater core on my 1962 Starfire. I have the new part, but I cannot seemto figure out how to remove the old unit. Any ideas where to get help on the subject?

You may need the 1961 manual and the 1962 which is technically a 1961 supplement, and refers you back to the 1961 on a lot of things. The two books will be well worth the investment.
The Rocky Mountain Olds Club is an active OCA group in CO who will probably have someone knowledgeable on the 1962 car. http://www.rockymtnoldsclub.org/

It is covered in the 1961 shop manual, about a dozen pages, one in color showing vacuum hose routing. I could fax it to you; best if you get your manuals. Note as posted above there is the main 61 manual, changes are covered in the 62 and there is also a hard to find 1961 Starfire supplement if you are interested in it.
here are the 61&2 manuals on cd:

Yeah, I have the '62 manual and it does reference back to the '61 manual a lot. I will try to get the '61 manual also. Thanks for the input and the link. All help is very much appreciated!!
