Production Question for 1971 Delta 88 gurus
Hello all,
Can anyone tell me if the Delta 88's were available with a floor shift after 1970? The reason I am asking is because I have seen a '71 for sale that has a floor shift but i have never seen or heard of this before, and I have not been able to find a comprehensive option list for them. I'm going to keep looking though.
If it's real, it must be one of very few cars made this way.

Factory did not install floor shift in Delta from 1971-76. Pace Car and Holiday 88 options included it 1977-1981.
Is this car in Michigan? if so I think we have discussed this same car a few weeks ago and consensus was the console/buckets and floor shift had been added later, unless you could find proof it was a one-off for an Olds exec. They did do things like that, but it wasn't always documented.

i see..yes, this is the michigan car. have not seen the previous thread, my apologies. I guess the only way to know for sure would be to inspect the car in person. the interior does look really nice in comparison to the body, and the dash colors don't look original.
Does anyone have an interior pic of a '70 88 with the buckets/console?

I have no picture, but I know that the seats are standard Strato-Buckets with different floor brackets, and I believe that the console is identical, or very nearly identical, to the A-body console (looks the same to the casual observer, but I've never seen the two side by side).

that's very interesting Eric......funny thing is, i cannot find any pics of strato buckets on any car that have that exact same pattern on both the backrest and cushion. door panels look correct for this car and the color seems to match, which makes it either factory or a very good post fact redo.
anyway, i don't want to beat a dead horse...i did email the owner but no response.
