I bought a 1950 76 club coupe but THOUGHT I bought an 88 because of all the trim (that was off the car) that came with it AND the owner stating that it was an 88. I love the chrome spears that stream back from the headlights and into the doors and bought an exceptional set of them.
My car does not have holes to accept that trim at this time. Is there someone who is able to give me a CLUE on how to position those pieces appropriately (or do I just wing it by sight)?

Not a clue on the position of the trim, but it must not be the original engine as it would be a 6 cylinder and that would have been a good clue that it wasn't a 88.

Have you looked at google images on 50"s Oldsmobile's you might be able to get a good enough eyeball idea where to position the trim..... Just a thought.... Tedd

Thank you, Tedd. I bought the car with a 1950 303 cid and was told it was original. I learned some valuable lessons on this purchase!
I have seen MANY side shots of 1950 88s and have a good idea of how to position the trim by eye but, if possible, I would not mind following original measurements. I suppose it is not that critical but I just want it to be "right."
