parts interchange
#2
The list is extremely short. The two cars have different frames, different suspension, and even different brakes and wheel bolt pattern. No exterior sheet metal interchanges (with the possible exception of certain roof panels).

All the glass wil interchange between like body styles, Chev 2dr hdtp to Olds 88 2dr hdtp, Chev 4dr sedan to Olds 88 4 dr sedan, Chev and Olds 88 converts and Chev and Olds 88 4dr hdtps. Tops are the same also.

Many of the small interior parts, such as door handles, window cranks, door latches, hinges, dome lamps, mirrors, carpeting, door sills, ash trays and other parts will interchange on most "B" bodies. The rule here is. If it looks the same, then it probably is.
I'm restoring a 63 Dynamic 88 2dr Holiday right now. I can get a lot of the same parts from Hubbards Impala Parts much cheaper than I can from the "Olds specialty" companies. For example, the rear window rubber gasket, $39.95 vs. $79.95.
Many electrical items will interchange across the entire GM line. These would include Starters,(by switching drive housings) alternators, generators. solenoids, some switches, ignition parts, coils, and wiper motors. Compare part numbers here if you can. If it carries the same GM part # then you can be sure it is the same.
Finally, a lot of heater and A/C parts will interchange. There again, compare part numbers when possible.

1963 Dynamic 88 2dr hdtp restoration
Yes, I do , https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...storation.html
I don't recommend that everyone go to all the extremes that I do. I'm a retired mechanic and have a lot of spare time. And I want to build a showpiece.
Plans are for a 394 with three deuces. Backed up by a T-10 four speed stick. It's going to be metallic red with a red and maroon cloth and vinyl interior. "Dog dish" hubcaps and 15 in big blackwalls will complete the "Muscle Car " look.
