New here - w/ 1961 Dynamic 88 question - patch panels?
Hey all...I'm new here. I've been into old cars all my life, and this is the 2nd Oldsmobile I've owned.
I had a 62 Holiday 98 sedan for a while, and sold it a couple years back.
Recently, I picked up a 61 Dynamic 88 hardtop, and I'm going to be starting work on getting the car on the road this summer. It runs and drives, but needs a lot of attention. Unfortunately, the car sat out under a tree for years, and has rotten through under the rear window.
Is there a patch panel source for this area? I've looked online at places, but I can't find anything. I figure 61 Buick, Chevy, and Olds should be about the same in this exact area.
Any suggestions? Anyone here have a parts car with a good quarterpanel?
Thanks,
keith

I dont think there is a patch panel available but look at Chevy sources because if anyone makes em it will be chevy but not sure it would be the same...if the rot is not too extensive it looks like just forming that area out of 1 or 2 pieces of metal should not be that hard and weld it in place...luckily its a curved area so it will be easier to smooth over the patch with filler when done.
