New guy with a 51 Super88

Hello, from another newbie that has been lurking. I have been reading posts on the sight for acouple of months. I live in north central Indiana.
I recently got rid of my custom softail and got a more family friendly 1951 Super 88 Deluxe.

It is in very good shape but also very modified. It has a Chevy 509 and Th400, original rear end (this may need to change) and some wild paint. I plan to find as much missing chrome as possible and take back to a stock appearence.

Thanks to this sight I have located and got some of the chrome/stainless exterior trim I need. I guess that part of the fun and challenge of an Olds, is finding parts, huh?

Welcome to CO. You have quite a job ahead of you, never heard of someone changing a custom car BACK to original, usually the other way around.

I am near Kokomo. Here are some pics the previous owner had of it. I have most of the front bumper on it and have removed the bullet hole decals.

Not sure if the pics will work or not. I have never posted pictures on a forum before.

I agree with ditching the bullet holes but I like the rest of the car.
