MY 1965 Delta 88 Hardtop

Thought it was about time i showed you guys what i've been up to.

So far it's had minor engine mods in the form of an Edelbrock Performer intake, 750cfm carb and rocker covers. She also sports a dual exhaust system so sounds awesome.
The suspension has been dropped about 2.5 inches all round (cut springs) and has an original set of period Allied Magnum Super Sport rims.

Next job will be to construct a centre console to house a modern sound system without cutting or modifying any of the original features.
This will also house the manual choke, tacho and pressure dials and an ipod dock if i can be bothered.

That should do for this summer, then when winter comes again the interior will be stripped and re-covered in the same NOS material as original, which I got with the car and new carpets laid down.

Great car!

Very nice! I have a 66 D88 2 door hardtop and I am planning on doing many of the same mods, such as adding the 4bbl and duals. How many coils did you cut to drop the car? It has a great stance. Nice rust-free body, too!

Stance looks great! Love the wheels...how does it ride with the cut springs?

What a land yacht. The pics are even huge.

Is it designated as H.M.S. in the U.K. before the car's name on the title?

I like whitewalls and with those groovy and far-out vintage wheels they even look cooler.
Some cars look like taxi cabs or the stripped down cars the nuns drove without them.

when i took the springs out i found they had already been cut before so difficult to judge how much it differs from stock. I took a whole coil off from what i already had, but i'm not even certain if they were the original springs??

I also found aftermarket monroe shocks in place
