How rare are the Pace car 77/78 88's??

I had a 78 I think it wa,s Delta 88 when I was young (18). Blue with blue cloth interior with the 403 motor (was that rare with the 403, have not seen many with it since). Man that car was nice, like new, one I wish I kept. Anyway there was Indy Pace Car edition as I recall, silver and black? How many of those were made?

Pat, can we count 'replicas' as being the correct number of actual pace cars for 77? I'm wondering how many were originally built. The replica numbers are much higher than I thought they'd be BTW.

Allan, I had one but it didn't have the T tops. Memory is a little foggy, but I believe the actual pace cars had the T top and more fire under the hood than the ones sold to the general public.

Going off memory: The 77 D88 pace car had a 403 engine and 3.73 gears out back.

However in 78-79 the Delta 88 had 7 engine options

V6
260 V8 Olds
301 V8 Pontaic
305 V8 Chevy
350 V8 Chevy
350 V8 Olds
403 V8 Olds

I not sure, but I have had a little trouble during my cursory research on the #s at 61 st indy 500.

The OP did not specify track, festival and replica! So I went what I had in hand.
