How to: heater core
I mentioned the desirability of having the service manuals for this car if you are going to be doing repairs like this. The heater core, though, is far less involved, instructions-wise, than the rear window.
There are six steps listed on page 1-4 of the '67 chassis manual. Things in parentheses are my own comments.
1. Remove glove box.
2. Disconnect wiring, vacuum lines, and defroster hoses from heater case (under the dash).
3. Drain radiator below heater level, disconnect heater hoses, and remove gasket.
4. Remove blower assembly attaching screws and nuts. (From the diagram, there looks to be about 6 of these. You get at them all from under the hood as they're all around the blower assembly. There is usually a sealer applied to the blower assembly when it is attached to the firewall. You may have to yank a bit on the blower assembly to get it to come off.)
5. From inside the car, remove the heater case.
6. Remove heater core from case.
Installation is the reverse of the above.

Thanks for the info. I hope to pick-up a service manual eventually, but figure I can stumble my way through the heater core & window motor without it... at some point it will be a necessity, though.
Here's a used chassis service manual at a fairly reasonable price. Something to consider.
