Horns!

Hey all, I replaced my dead original horns with a used set from a forum member several years ago, and now those are dead. My question is, does anyone know of an aftermarket set that have that "big car" sound like the OE's? My other option, since I now have 2 sets of dead OE's, would be to take them apart and try to rebuild them into one working set. Now, I'm quite mechanically inclined, but I have no idea what would be involved after I grind the rivets off and crack them open. Anyone gone down this road before and have any pointers? Any advise appreciated.

I think I recall a member here who can rebuild them. I don't recall his handle at the moment, though.

It seems they're out of stock on everything, possibly out of business. No matter, tho... that's more than I want to spend.

Yep, tried tapping and screwing the adjustment screw in and out... nothing.
I ordered a set of aftermarket horns to get me by temporarily. it sounds like they may have a semi-appropriate tone, and I think I can mount them so I don't have to alter the vehicle wiring. That will get me by until I can disassemble the two OE sets I have and see if I can make one working pair out of them. I mean, it can't be rocket surgery... right?
