Holy gas tank, Batman!
I dropped the tank in my Dynamic, only to find it's rusted through in one spot...pretty big hole. Are replacement tanks available? This car seems to be goofy as the tank is behind the axle, not under the trunk. If no replacements are around, can it be repaired? Also, is there a way to mount a fuel cell in the trunk without fear of fumes?

It might be hard to find a new replacement, but I had my tank repaired at a local shop for 50 bucks and it is holding up fine - last 4years. The repair shop , stated that the tank was in great shape, I knew that prior to lining up the repair...
If your delaing with major rust then do an internet search for shop that can remanufacture/repair your tank - there is a shop in westen PA (Greensburg area) that does this.
Good luck.

Well, I got a rough estimate from Alumiworx/Boyd Welding. $330 for the sketch I gave him, but I think it will end up closer to $400. So in goes a 12 gal. boat tank til I can do that....

I am not sure but would think a b body tank off another car would work. Maybe check to see if repops are available for the 63/64 impala. Don't have time to check up on this myself right now but others may know if this part is common off the top of their head.

I'd be curious to see about an Impala tank as well. I know that a lot of the Impala and/or caprice stuff will fit on my 66 Delta 88. I'm sure you could get the dimensions of the tank and see if it looks like you could make it work.
