Hi Guys I have just bought a set of window (all side glass including vent windows) seals for my 55 4 door holiday hardtop. Before I get underway I wondered if anyone had any tips, advice or experience they could offer, I have replaced seals on british cars before but have no knowledge of american builds.I do have a workshop manual to help me, but as always experience is king.

It canbe as simple as glue them in, but if the door hinges have settled or worn you may want to readjust them before doing the seal project. This can get involved, meaning pulling the hood and front fender to get at adjusting bolts.

The cheap way to do it is to install a rubber or closed cell foam shim to create a good seal between glass and the factory seal.
