Fuel Problem

Good Morning all!
I took the '75 Delta 88 to get PA state inspected yesterday and while it was sitting outside idling, the car shut off and wouldn't start back up. Sprayed in a little starter fluid and she ran for a second or two, then cut back off again. I disconnected the main fuel line running from the front of the carburetor to the fuel pump and it was bone dry. I even cranked the engine over and no fuel came squirting out of the pump. Thinking it was a bad fuel pump I replaced it and no change...any ideas as to what it could be? I'm going to try replacing the fuel filter tonight, but I don't think that's the problem...

Check for cracks in the 2 rubber
lines at the the frame that come through
and attach to the fuel pump. They
are behind the r/front wheel area on the frame.
If not there, it could be at the rubber line at the
tank itself. Sounds like it is sucking air...Good luck.

Check the rubber line before the pump also. You may also have a rotted steel line from the rubber lines to the pump. You might also try blowing some air through the line that feeds the pump back into the tank if that's not it.
