Converting to quad carb - 67 Delta

Dumb question but is I want to put a 4 barrel on my car instead of a 2 barrel, do I need to change the intake manifold as well as the aircleaner base?

ie is the 4 barrel rockester a direct bolt on less air cleaner base?

Thanks

If it is a 2bbl intake, which it more than likely is, then yes.

You have to have a 4-barrel intake. You'll also need 4-barrel choke parts ($$$ because of the 442 parts crossover), 4-barrel fuel line and you'll have to adjust the throttle and transmission switch linkage. Then you have to find a 4-barrel CCC aircleaner.

A correct 1967 QuadraJet is side fuel inlet.

If all you want is a 4-barrel, you might be better off just getting an aftermarket aluminum intake, carb and aircleaner and save the CCC stuff for when it counts. You'll still have to set up the transmission switch to keep your switch-pitch working properly and not grinding itself up.
