Build sheet? found in door of car

![Question](https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I'll try and up load the photo of it, when I removed the door panel on my 58, 88. I found a sheet of paper with numbers and letters attached to the door frame, I'd love to learn what these numbers/letters indicate. Any one able to help me????

I doubt that's a build sheet as they were much more formal-looking documents and not hand-written like that one is. Could that have been a note to someone on the line about something particular to this car?

if it was in the door it has to be a fisher body paper as the doorpanels were put on there and then shipped to the olds plant for everything else. it look to me like a fisher broadcast sheet,we used to hand write some of them when the original got destroyed or lost on the line. so i believe those would be option codes for the body line to use. anyone know the rpo codes from the 50s?

i dont know the codes. someone on here should chime in with them tho. if indeed this is a fisher manifest,it will be body option codes ie; mirrors windows radio ect. someone will chime in with code idenity im sure.

Is the paint/body tag still on the car? What are the codes on it? Might be some help there in IDing accessory & body codes.
I don't have '58 paint codes, but I'd bet the bottom line are paint codes? blue/black or blue/white?

I figured out a few bits & pieces, haven't played with codes on anything older than my '61 Starfire but here goes:
your car:
Body # BC 3890 (BC = SouthGate, CA assembly plant, 3890 = 3890th unit - body number)
Trim # 365 (365 = red "Morroceen" vinyl & black pattern cloth interior)
Paint # 60-60 (60 = "Alaskan White" upper & lower paint)
Top ACC
Body by fisher
your door:
9221 D
3637 (Dynamic 88 Holiday Coupe)
60-20 (60 = "Alaskan White", 20 = "Festival Red" upper & lower paint)
365 (365 = red "Morroceen" vinyl & black pattern cloth interior)
A-C L-B E1
P - X1 - K1
Anything make sense? What model is your car? Is it possible the door is from another car?

Cool, that really helped,
nailed the colors, Still curious on some trim options, mine has thin chrome trim around the rear window, only seen one other car with thin trim, all others are thick, and I've yet to come across another steering wheel that looks like mine. My horn is in the center, I do not have horn buttons on the arms like all the rest seem to.

I agree that paper is not the actual build sheet for your car. I found build sheets underneath both rear seat bottoms on my 1950 & 1951 Olds 88's.
These cars were built at the Framingham Ma plant and were in the same spot wedged in the lower rear seat springs. If you have not done so, take a look there.

Many of us who own later cars would probably like to see what an early-fifties build sheet looks like.

Build sheet photo. Sorry-Not much left of this one. I sold one 88 last year and the other one went with the car.It was complete and in very good condition. As I remember it had paint & option codes. You can inlarge the photo below.

Thanks for posting the pic! That document is not the "build sheet" as we know it, but rather the Fisher Body "broadcast card". Pretty much the same format as used thru '67. In '68 they went to larger cards with more info on them. The broadcast cards were Fisher Body documents having only to do with the bodies and getting the correct body components together. The Build Sheets are more comprehensive documents that were assembly plant documents.
