body pillar seals
hi folks, here I am again in need of your help
first of all, I wish merry christmas to all this forum users, known and unknown firends
, and now my problemActually my Olds is at the body shop to remove the rusted parts, and by the way I must replace the convertible weatherstrip and some other rubber parts, but I'm not sure about the correct name of those other ones. I took a pic at the body shop, but I don't know how to post it here, so I try to explain as I can. The rubber part is placed between the door and the rear quarter window fixed by four screws. I have found something at rockauto, the name of the part found is body rear pillar seal. could be this???

I think this is what you're looking for:

You have to click Go Advanced, then Manage Attachments, then browse (there are 5 browse buttons) to your pictures files and double click the picture you want to attach. Sometimes the picture files are too large for the site to load. A trick I learned is to go to your pictures before you try to attach them and click the ones you want to use, click share on an email. My program then attaches them to an email in a smaller format (fewer MB or KB). Then double click the attachments on the email, one at a time which will display the picture. Right click on the picture and click save. Minimize the picture, then paste to your original picture file. It will probably ask if you want to save both the original and the copy, or replace with the copy. The copy has fewer pixels and will then attach to the website when you Go Advanced and add the pictures.
It sounds involved, but is really pretty simple once you do it a few times. There may be an easier way or a program to do it, but this way works fine.

yes, this is the same part sold by rockauto at half the price, I wonder how they can sell the same parts at half the price you find at the original factory, maybe the quality it's not the same, but in thruth I never had problem with them, I don't want to make advertising or else, so I take my comments for myself, thank you guys for your help
Hi, I am here again, Now that the restoration is at the point to reassemble all the parts, I have found that the door pillar seals that I bought to rockauto are not fitting, not because defective but they have a different shape, a little difference but enough to misfit, the front it's okay, but in the rear side there is a difference that make the part not fitting. the body worker said that he try to modify the difference to see if it will fit, and even to buy other items (I got a look to the sites posted below) there are not pics that show the rear side , so, I do not what to do
hi folks, I had a look at steelerubber site, so, for the U jumb lock pillar filler as they call the part, the item 70-0939-79 suggedsted by Copper 128 fits for earlier models, the item # 70-1617-79 that they give as matching with the Delta 88 1973 model, seems the same of the Metro ALP 5055 that I bought. and as they don't show the rear part of the item, and so I'm not sure to buy another useless part. Some of you have further information about?
Fusicks Oldsmobile Parts will be very Knowledgeable about the parts, but theirs are probably made by either Steele or Metro, since they are well known companies in the U.S. Larry
