thanks a lot guys i have a 56 olds 88 2 door hard top and been working on it of and on for about 10 years and was having trouble finding parts. just looking at some posts with all the links i think i can get a good start. thanks again

there ya go.. keep in touch, I love to read the trials and tribulations of a restore. The net is a wonderful place for info, how did they do it before???

yea back in the day all we had was good old hemmings motor news and the local junk yards or swap meets. things are much easier now!

LOL! 10 years ago all this was just starting to get off the ground. Waiting for Hemmings to come in the mail was agonizing, then to get it faster you had to go first class and hope you got it before the other guy. Self addressed stamped envelopes for parts lists, money orders, phone calls, It was a challenge. The funny thing is you could buy parts sight unseen and they always were as described or better. With evilbay you can see them and they are rarely as described or they just say "looks good to me" and most of the time the parts look way worse when you get them.
