Anyone know the curb weight of a 4 door 1974 Delta 88 with 455? Not asking for any real reason other then curiosity.

Is this information in the chassis or body manual? If so I guess I didn't look hard enough.

Setting the Pace lists Oldsmobile weights, but presumably these are for the base configuration.

Delta 88 Hardtop Sedan: 4,568 lbs
Delta 88 Town Sedan: 4,536

Delta 88 Royale Hardtop Sedan: 4,602
Delta 88 Royale Town Sedan: 4,554

It's interesting how the hardtops, which don't have the center pillars, actually weigh more. That's undoubtedly due to the extra bracing put into the frame to make up for the loss of the pillars.

Ninety-Eights, which came standard with the 455, all weigh in the 4,800 to 5,000 lb range


It's likely that your car weighs in the 4,500 to 4,700 lb range.
