74 delta 88 vert
I would have to say they would not without some extensive modification. The 70 is a completely different car from a '74. The '71 - '76 panels should be interchangeable even if they're not all exactly the same. The doors for those years are the same. You could probably use 98 or Toronado door panels as well...Toro's would go up to '78. Again, they might work but wouldn't be the same as yours.

I would say that there is a zero chance that doors from a '77 Toronado would fit a '74 Delta 88 convertible. The Toro's doors have a big fold-spear feature in the front part of the door that sweeps forward and aligns with a continuation of that fold in the front fender.

Here's a '74 Delta 88 convertible. It's a different shape, especially where it meets the windshield, and it doesn't look to be as long. Plus, it does not have the crease feature.

It's not the best angle, but the door doesn't look totally dissimilar to the '74, although it appears to be shorter, with the front edge coming down more directly under the windshield pillar. On the '74, that seam starts about 6 inches forward of the pillar and then curves even farther forward before coming down. My guess is that it would not fit.

As 76 Regency said, your best bet, if you can't find another '74, is to get one from that same series of body style, which was '71 through '76.

You're absolutely right that the doors themselves are completely different on a Toro vs an 88/98 BUT the interior panels could still work. The lower door panels are identical on '75/76 98's as they are on '75 - 78 Toro's. I believe the inner door structure is the same on these cars and since the actual doors are the same on 71-76 88/98, that's what led me to think that the upper panels might just work from a 77 Toro on the '74 88. If you can get them cheap and they're in good enough shape, I would definitely give it a try...worst case you sell them.

hmmm that's a little high unless they're in beautiful shape....do you have pictures of them? If you do, post some pics of them and pics of yours and maybe we'll be able to help you decide if they'll fit better
kinda hard to tell from the pics but you might be able to make them work. do you have any other pics of the Toro ones? Do you know if they were recovered or if they are original? are they cracked/split, etc? If these are good originals, I would love to have them.

I have 1973 Buick Electra 225 door panels upper and lower which I think fit Olds and Caddy too. Comparing pics would be best to see how they look
The buicks are 2 piece panels top and bottom and have window controls on the armrest in chrome bezels.
