74 88 air breather boot, where to find another?

See the one in the pics, that attaches to the air breather body. It is old and cracked. Can these be had anywhere? Anyone have one. 350 rocket motor?

Interesting dilemma
Guy with H/O calls and says he needs the PCV elbow[s]

I fond these on epay with intentionally? blurry pictures, asserted to be NOS and OEM, showing also a GM box.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=221922038246

Upon arrival they appear to be poorly made knock offs. Lacking detail, etc.

I sent the seller this inquiry and will do some test fitting before leaving feedback. And comparison to what known GM units I have on hand.

"Sirs, Got the rubber elbows OK. Close inspection shows dull edged, hard rubber, poor detail in the digits embossed, and no coating of white powder as typically seen on actual GM OEM NOS rubber items. See item 111848449425 for example. Is there any chance these are Chinese replicas photographed with a GM box to lend an air of authenticity? Can you state for sure that these items are not replicas but were provided at one time thru a GM dealer as GM parts? "

Anyone here have tips for discerning real GM from poor reproductions?
I know for the Local Store Repro PCV holding grommet, I got one so poorly made that I could NOT get a PCV valve into it. The D hole recess was too small, the inner diameter was then also forced too small, and the rubber was 3 notches too hard, which all added up to NO WAY the PCV valve was going in there. Bought a real GM one... soft rubber... fine detail... fit right... PCV pushed in just like it should.

391095 Grommets for PCV

Anyone else think these are not really NOS GM Parts??

It's for an H/O so real parts would be best

seller claims ignorance of course. "came with other stuff"
Conveniently pictured with "a" GM box which no, you do not get.

As soon as it says box not included you can bet it's not a NOS part.

Well, upon close inspection and comparison to the Stash of Old Parts, it appears to be pretty much identical to what are presumed to be mostly GM originals. The steel tube hole was a little smaller, making for a tight fit on the tube, but is is NEW and not baked underhood for years. The tube fit in ok and was well gripped. The others also have weakly formed characters, what happens when you make millions I gues....

At this time, it looks like a proper part, no worries. They come several to a box so not every buyer gets a box.
