71 Olds coupe

Hello!

I'm new to this board and hope to learn some new things. I bought a 71 Olds Delta 88 from my best friend about a year ago. Took me 15 years to get him to sell her to me. She's got over 200,000 miles on the engine but still runs like a dream. (She does like her oil ). The body is straight. She has some cancerous spots around the wheel wells. The vinyl top needs to be replaced, gives the term rag top a whole new meaning. I've got alot of work ahead of me but I'm really looking forward to giving Sweet Pea a new life. Same buddy also gave me 70 Olds as a part car. The dash is emaculent. May work on swapping them over this summer. So be prepared for alot of questions.

Angie

Hello Fellow 1971 Olds Delta 88 Owner, I too have a Palm Green 1971. They are a nice driving car. I own some 1966 & 67' B-bodies and the 71 is alot better handling, plus they have disc brakes. I have a 71 Olds 98 also. I call my Delta "Green Machine." Put a pic up of "Sweet Pea." Late, Ken

Hi Keith,

Thanks for the welcome. I posted some pics of Sweet Pea in the 71 Olds commercial thread.

You mentioned something about a gasket. I'm not sure I know which one you mean. Enlighten me.

Oopsy, it was a typo, he is just an excellent person to deal with if you need any type of gasket. He has everythin from 1930 thru 60, and early 70's.
I seen you car, it looks really sharp, it is truely a diamond in need of a little tlc. Keep me updated on how the car is coming, If you have any questions I am sure we can help.

Good luck with your new car.
