Car will be painted early next week, and I plan to drop the car off at the glass shop to get the front and back glass installed on the way home.

Is there a write up anywhere that details the process?

What do I need to take to the glass shop? It looks like the top windshield stainless is installed in the rubber before the glass goes in?

What about the rear?

I still need to polish the trim, which pieces need to be ready for the glass to go in?

Joe,according to an earlier post on C.O. the top Moulding is removed while still in the rubber gasket . and must be installed into the rubber before the new rubber/ windshield is reset. There's a You Tube Video called "Kenny's Redneck Garage" ( Looks to be properly named)that shows the removal process,and another that shows the basics of installation
Maybe it will help answer some concerns! I googled Replacing a Windshield on '55 -'57 Chevrolet. Hopes this helps. Larry
