I have been missing the front panel olds emblem badge on my car since purchasing it. The replacements I have looked at appear to have a plastic stud on the back which would allow it to be attached to the car.

Looking at the front of my car, I'm not seeing how this is going to be attached. I'm wondering if perhaps a part of the original badge is still attached to my car and needs to be removed before I can add a replacement piece (if even possible). I've attached a picture.

Am I correct that part of the original piece is still attached? Perhaps I'm just not looking at the right replacement part and there is another assembly method.

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

You will notice that NOS badge above includes the chrome surround that is still in place in your header panel. You have to remove that first, then install the new one.
