1983 Delta Body Mounts

The only source that I can find for replacement body mounts is Energy Suspension and their's are the hard poly style for a 90's Impala SS. Anyone ever been able to come up with rubber ones or substitutes of any kind?

At one time (like in 2002) I bought caprice OEM 9c1-spec units in the mail from a GM dealer...somewhere. Doubtful any of those people are still in business - or even alive. I have something printed at home about it and I will try to dig it up.

I remember something about pink stripe / green stripe on the bushing making a difference. Also most platforms are missing the middle bushing on both sides (B-pillar) whereas they were installed on the 9C1.

Please share a link to what you are looking at on Energy Suspension site.

The Energy Suspension part is 3.4136G. There is also a color red set without the impregnated graphite lube. I'm a little concerned both of these might transmit too much vibration for my old bones. Hah.

I printed out this "Body Bushing Upgrade for the B-Body" page on 6.3.2001 but YOU can get it here on the Wayback Machine:

https://web.archive.org/web/20020612...ngs/index.html

The relevant GM part numbers:

377801 Stock 5/8" thick soft rubber (Black) $7.16
457917 New 3/4" thick firm rubber (Dk Green) $4.24
457915 New 7/8" thick firm rubber (Pink) $5.41

The article describes moving away from the stock 5/8" pieces.

I found scribble about Dealer Auto Parts in AZ, Lambert Buick Pontiac (!) GMC in OH, GM Restoration Parts, and MacMulkin Chevy in NH compiled during my search for these parts SEVENTEEN YEARS AGO.

I looked around a little bit just now - I found these parts for sale "nowhere".

Good hunting. Please share any positive results.

Talking

I want to add here that the only set of body mount cushions that I have been able to find is a set offered from GBodyParts.com for a GNX Buick G body. After comparing the GM part number included in the kit with some of those listed as stock on the 83 Delta, I noticed that many are stock equipment on my B body. My conclusion is that I am going to try this kit because the mounts must be of the same basic dimensions as the 83 Delta. The kit includes all upper and lower parts. They also offer a set of bolts.
