1972 Delta 88 scissor convertible top question

The top on my 1972 Delta 88 goes about halfway up, then stops, and then goes back down. My initial thought was that the relay was bad, but I'd like to hear if anyone else has had this happen to them and what was the fix. I believe that these tops were all electric, no hydraulics.
Thanks

Does the motor run when it does this or does the motor stop and the top just "drifts" back down?

I've heard of scissor tops doing many strange things, but never this.

I had a similar issue. It was the relay over heating and cutting out. Replaced it and everything worked great. Search for my thread on sicissors tops for more info.

Could you dend me a photo of the bow with the ball piviots on the side frame rails. I need a shot of the piviot position while the top is up and the way the bow is attached to the top in the center.

Thanks

Send me your email address. It will have to wait until the week end as I'm crazy busy with work right now.

I cannot see it due to a spam blocker that I cannot seem to over ride. Sorry.
