1963 Super 88

I recently bought this Super 88. The mileage was 37,252 and they said they believed correct and original paint.

I have seen well maintained cars with over 100k that looked like less.

After going over the car I am sure it is correct original miles and paint other than some paint work on left rear quarter panel. Very excited about it and looking forward to enjoying and preserving it for a long time.

The only issues I need to fix is...

The engine was painted in car and Chevy orange. Should be red, right?

The factory spiral shocks just don't cut it anymore. Got them ordered.

Many paint chips. Going to have touch up mixed.

Drivers door roof rail weatherstrip worn. Ordering.

Drivers vent window hard to close. Have to look into that.

Beautiful car. How'd you manage to get the ground underneath it to be all wet and thus more reflective while having the blue sky overhead? I thought they only did that in TV commercials!

It rained hard for 20 seconds then the sky cleared right up. I had nothing to do with it. LOL. But it was a great time for a picture.

Is that black or dark blue? If it's dark blue it's been exceptionally well-maintained because that color usually fades out to a bluish-purple.

Very nice example.

Midnight Mist blue. In some light it does have a Royal blue/purple tint and sometimes looks black.

There are 2 oil change stickers in door jamb. One from 1983 with 37,110 miles written on it and one from 1992 with 37,200 on it.
Not sure if they meant when due to change again or currant miles. Regardless all fluids have been changed now.

I think I saw this car on ebay a couple of times and if it is that same car it showed a great looking Interior and looked to be a fine example of Americana!!!

It is that one. I got it for a lot less than he wanted and way LESS than he paid from the estate sale last year.

Even better it was about 4 hours from me that I had a truck deliver it to me for $275.00. Less than gas and 8 hours of my life to go get it. I trusted the seller on description.
He included a new blower motor as it did not work but turned out a vacuum line was off to the heat control and it now works great.
