1955 parking light bezel

Hi Guys,

I seem to have noticed some serious damage on one of my bezels on my 88, besides getting it repaired and re chromed was wondering if the 54 was the same? the 55 ones are impossible to find so it seems.. I have got new lenses through fusick.

I have also noticed that chevy trucks of the same era are very similar?

Cheers

Dan

If you have access to Buick parts I think Buick of the same year is the same, other wise Ebay may be your best choice. Don't know about Chevy trucks ... Tedd

Hi Dan
Is the light bezel your looking for the one right under the headlight? If so, I think the chrome may be OK but the sockets and lenses are bad on these. I've dismantled the car but still have these in a box somewhere.

Have you crossed paths with someone named Corey who also has a 1955 Olds and is in Australia? Yeah, I know your country is quite large and I'm not sure just where he is, so odds are you haven't met him.

Thanks heaps mate,

that's the one I am looking for. After doing some research im almost 100% sure the 1955 chevy truck is exactly the same. I have emailed a stockist in the states for measurements but I reckon they are exactly the same

No mate, I have met 1 other guy with a 55 he owns OZrods customs but his name isn't corey, I think there is a guy who editors for Cruzin Magazine over here who has a 55 4 door?

Chev truck ones are too big, the Buick ones as Tedd said are very similar also for the 56-57 models.

Keep searching

That trim piece looks an awful lot like the backup light trim bezel too. Have a look at this link to USA Parts Supply. They seem to have a lot of pre and post war parts. Look at page 48 specifically.

Not the same part, shape or diameter on the bezels. The backup bezel is not just a chrome ring but larger on the top than the bottom and takes a larger lense.... Tedd

An interesting note is the backup lights are the same as a 58 Chevy station wagon.
