1955 88 MotorSwap!

HELP I need suggestions, tips, ideas, pictures... on how to install a different engine in my 1955 olds rocket 88

i just wanna drive it this summer and dont have the cash to buy a rocket motor for it again!

All depends on what direction you want to go in. Do you want it stock (or stock looking), slightly modified or way modified. Also what is your budget. Remember you can do anything with cubic money.

i have afew chevy 350s but the mounts are completely different..... i need some pictures of what some have done to install a small block

the original rocket 8 was donated to a model a project

This is one of those times where there is no right answer. There are many ways to do this. A welder and fabrication skills are a must.

350 Olds and Turbo 350 easy swap easy motor mount fab. Difficult problem: exhaust manifold on the drivers side if you have power steering

I'm not familiar with the 1950s steering boxes. Would a center-dump manifold help?

No Joe the 55 steering box is located near the center of the engine compartment (rear steer box) and prevents a center down tube and if it is a power steering box (they are very large in a 55) a rear exit is even very tough. He could always up grade to a 57 power steering box and use stock manifolds and just clear everything
