1953 VS 1955 Radiator

Does anybody know what the differences are between and 53 and a 55 radiator? I need a one for my 53 and Walker Radiator has a pattern for a 55 and wondered if that would work?

According to the Hollander , '53 , '54 , and ' 55 radiators are all different parts numbers.
However in their notes it is reported by auto wreckers that all three radiators would interchange .
It may be possible , but look and measure carefully .

Were you ever able to find a replacement?

53 radiator into 55

I put the complete 1953 radiator including shroud into a 1955. Had to drill holes to match 1955 mounting holes.

I put an aluminum radiator in the 54 I had. It was for a 68 Dodge Coronet. It had the flanges on each side to slide down in the slot and the outlet was on the lower left side. I had to redrill the holes on the flanges once it was in place and use a spacer for the lower radiator hose. I used a spacer on the lower hose because the hose was slightly larger (1 1/2" I think) and the radiator was 1 1/4" believe. The radiator was the correct width (24" if memory serves me correctly). It was not quite as tall as the 54 radiator so I made an air dam to go under the radiator so all the air would go through the radiator. I had to use a flex hose on the top. It worked very well and cooled a lot better than the old radiator which I spent $600 having re-cored into a three core radiator. I measured and studied radiators a long time before I came up with this. I don't remember the brand but it was not a major brand like Be Cool and it was less than $300.

The fine people at https://classicfordradiator.com/ built a radiator for me. It took some time, but the new unit fit perfect.
