What rear differential should I have in car

I just bought a 1976 Olds Cutlass Salon with 350 rocket motor, what rear differential should be in this car from the factory

I am assuming that you have an automatic? If so 2.41 is standard GU1 code except Z95 code
available 2.56 GM8, 2.73 GU2 and 3.08 GU4. Assuming again that it's Olds/Buick differential

What I meant was wether it was a 10 bolt 7.5 rear or 10 bolt 8" rear or something else

10 bolt 8.5 inch. You can make sure by looking at the bottom of the differential and see if it has two squared off ears cast into it. There are a lot of pictures of this if you google it.
