I plan on finally doing the posi and gear upgrade from the 2.78 open to a 3.08 posi. I just ordered a master overhaul for my stock 1970 Oldsmobile 12 bolt cover with the 10 bolt ring gear from Jim at JD Race. I got the ridiculously expensive Yukon posi off him a while back. I also got a set of 3.08 gears off Dale Robinson for a good price. I have him looking to see if he can find me one, fingers crossed. A few sites show them but others say back ordered. We know how many of the sites actually have actual stock. The OPGI Ebay only has the 10 and 12 bolt chebby available, which isn't a good sign. I would consider the LPW girdle cover but good grief it is expensive, talking nearly $400 US on Jegs. It is a US made girdle cover with a black powder coat option. I may get him to price that as well and see if it actually in stock anywhere. What can I say on want bling to show off the fortune I spent for this rear. Anyone actually bought a W27 recently?
