Take your u joint to the parts store and tell them you are trying to go from that one your drive shaft to say a 1968 mustang, galaxey, etc u joint for a 9 inch!!

My guess is that you need the adapter u-joint that is 3R for the shaft, and 1350 for the yoke.I've done a few like that.Do you know what size the yoke is?

Carrier yoke is a stock ford, I'll have to measure it I guess. Looks smaller than 1350.

u-joint

No cars came stock with a 1350 u-joint...Not even HEMI cars.

1350 is always aftermarket.

I would have to say 1310 would be a stock 9" joint...But if it is a truck center then we have another issue.

Measure the cup size of the yoke (green ). (across the gap diameter). will be either 1 1/16" or 1 1/8" then measure the width of the yoke from button tab inner to button tab inner (red). reference picture

TAke that info to the store and cross your fingers you get a sales person that has some know how with the books. OF put all the u-joints on your credit card and take back all the ones that do not fit....LOL Jim

Any idea what the 9" came out of originally? That might help, incase you get one of the underqualified sales reps at the parts counter. They depend on the computer screen for the correct answer.

Again, carry your parts to the auto parts store, or some place that balances and fabricates driveshafts, and match one up! We can guess, they can come up with one!!
