Hi Guys.
Is anyone here aware of a manufacturer that produces a Differential Girdle for a '69 Type O 12 bolt? I can't find anything specific for this 3rd member.
Black market maybe?

 

Are you wanting it for appearance? You can only get stock original internals that I am aware of for the type O and you will hurt those parts long before you hurt the housing. Not sure it would be needed for a type O

 

I do race on occasion (3:91 Posi, 255/15 ET Drag Radials, @3700lbs, upper 12's). I would figure any further strengthening would only reduce the chances of having a catastrophic failure.

 

This is for sure outside my area of knowledge. I am sure others will jump in soon. I know these were beat on really hard over the years and not sure I ever heard of a problem with the housing. Most guys, if they go to really big power levels just swap out the entire rear end to something with more aftermarket available.

 

Yes, Never a bad thing for more strength features.
