Type O 12 Bolt Posi rear

Hi Guys New to the Site.I have a type O rear in the back of my 70 El camino,I bought it this way used. It's a posi 12 bolt the case says SF on the pass side Tube. The Ring Gear is Stamped 133442 or 13 442 GM AL 122. I dont really feel like cutting up the brakes to go with discs from a 2001 camaro.I would rather go with a chevy 12 bolt posi C type and get it done with.Is this rear worth anything anyone want to swap rears its in nice shape can be seen on craigslist in ny I live on Long Island.Whats The gear ratio on this?.Thanks John.P.S I did own a 70 cutlass back in 82 went on my honeymoon in it.Sold it with the Shaving cream stains that was cut into my new paint.JUST MARRIED!

Welcome to CO!
Honestly, it will probably be hard to get someone to swap and Olds typ "O" rear for a Chevy 12 bolt. If you do end of keeping it, you can contact Tobin at Kore3. He is very knowledgable about brakes of all types and has great customer service. He can also fit you with adapter plates to mount the LS calipers to the BOP flange. I had a set made for my type O, but solde them when I switched housings. They are not listed on the site, but he can make them.

http://www.kore3.com/

Good luck whatever route you choose

Chris

I would need money along with the rear. This 12-bolt Chevy is flawless. It has been rebuilt and ready to run. Something like this is $1500.00 plus freight. Not sure if we can meet somewhere,or ship each one.
