The slip yoke goes on the solid end, The "open"
end where you can see both the tubes & the rubber damper goes towards the rear.

This is correct, and is also what is shown in the B/C-body PIM for 1967, but the driveshaft on my 67 Delta had the open end forward, and it still had the original U-joints with the molded plastic retainers.

Cool '67 b-body prop shaft

Thank You,
the reason i was asking as I just had my drive line serviced and was told it should be reversed with the open end at the differential and closed/welded end at transmission, which they did and that it was originally opposite at the factory, what is right or does it matter? , looks better this way ........ Factory had damper/open end at transmission
