As for size, your call. The stock bar is 7/8" diameter. Since the A-body cars understeer even with this bar, a larger one will help get you more neutral cornering. Unfortunately, the only larger bars are aftermarket and are pricey.
boxed arms
I have some boxed control arms here I was going to ebay if you need them 100.00 includes shipping. they have the proper inserts as Gm to prevent the collapse of the mid section of the arm sheet steel. If I had a sway bar I would sell you that also.

sway bar
Just about any reproduction part company for any A-body gm car will have repro parts you can get.
paddock , opgi , national parts depot, but it might be one of those fun things to tool around at a swap meet to find as they are not too heavy to carry and you know original stuff will fit as it is suppose to....Plus you could help some guy out of a financial jam for a day...LOL.

And the bars from mid '80's Monte carlo SS cars fit as well. GM actually reissued the part #, but applied it to this bar instead. The bar has a loop inder the rear center chunk, instead of the correct bend. After ALOT of Chevelle enthusiasts complained, they retooled, and started making the correct bar again. Now everyone carries them. The guy I used to work with in early 2001 actually ordered up the last 70 or so bars in GM stock, at $62 each. They came from all over the country, and were shipped to the local dealership. When they saw a run on this #, a regional parts Mgr. called , and wanted to know why this bar was so popular. He explained, and they were retooled, and put back in production. BTW the Monte bar is 7/8" also.

I guess the question that should be asked is what are you wanting out of your car. Do you just want a stock swaybar and a boxed LCA? Or are you looking for something more? If so here are some options. I have the metco's and love them.

Here is an article from Chevy Performance but it applies here as the same companies and partrs will work for Oldsmobiles. It shows a wide variety of LCA's with differing ideas.

For swaybars most of these compaines also offer a more sporty swaybar selection than jsut stock. So again it just goes back to what you want.
